Envirovent MEV Mechanical Extract Ventilation Unit White - MEV300
The Envirovent MEV (Mechanical Extract Ventilation) Range is a series of low-energy, whole-house ventilation systems designed to provide continuous ventilation to a property. The MEV Range includes the MEV 160 and MEV 300 models, each of which has a wireless remote control option, and the wired boost switch option for the MEV 300 model.
These systems are designed to extract stale, moist air from "wet rooms" (such as kitchens and bathrooms) and replace it with fresh air from outside. They work by extracting air through ducting from the wet rooms and expelling it outside through a central ventilation unit. This creates a negative pressure within the house, which draws in fresh air through trickle vents or passive vents elsewhere in the property.
The MEV range uses DC motors, which makes them extremely energy-efficient, as they consume up to 90% less energy than traditional AC motors. They also operate quietly, producing minimal noise and vibration.
The MEV 160 model is suitable for smaller properties, such as apartments, and has a maximum airflow rate of 60m/hour. It comes with a wireless remote control that allows you to adjust the ventilation rate and humidity levels and has a humidity sensor that automatically adjusts the ventilation rate based on the level of humidity in the property.
